Corporate background
12 years. World-class brands.
Then she built her own.

Christine Imoukhuede is a Founder, Experience Architect, and operator with over 12 years across Apple, UPS, and Lockheed Martin.

She founded Ahavaplan in 2021 with a vision to build the infrastructure the events industry was missing. What started as a U.S.-based platform launched in 2023, growing a community of planners and powering events across the country.

After years of building, iterating, and listening to planners, she made the strategic decision to pivot — repositioning Ahavaplan as an Africa-first, AI-native event management platform, starting with Nigeria.

2024The Pivot
The strategic pivot

After years of building and learning, Ahavaplan made a deliberate strategic shift — moving from a U.S.-based marketplace to an Africa-first, multi-event management platform with a tiered B2B subscription model, starting with Nigeria.

The hardest lessons come
from doing the work.
01
Building from scratch

Every system, every workflow, every decision — built without a playbook. Resourcefulness becomes the most reliable skill.

02
Corporate vs. Entrepreneur

Trading clarity, structure, and a paycheck for ambiguity, ownership, and a long horizon. Two completely different muscles.

03
Marathon, not a sprint

Endurance over speed. The pace you can sustain matters more than the pace you can survive once.

04
Celebrating all wins

The small wins compound. Naming them out loud is what keeps the team — and the founder — in the game.

The moments that mattered.
1
Moving to Nigeria

Trading the familiar for the bet that mattered — going where the market actually is.

2
Launching Ahavaplan in less than 30 days

From decision to live product in under a month — proof of speed, focus, and a team that ships.

3
Partnerships & exposure

3.5M+ views, 2.5K+ community members, 40+ events, magazines, and speaking engagements built along the way.

As seen in.
